The 'You' Factor!!!!!

When I was in school I was never good at academics, always failed in mathematics subject till 9th standard. It was a 'Shame' I was asked to set class topper as my inspiration and to be true to myself I always felt why am I being asked to compare myself with someone else. I tried to be friendly with topper and did my best to see where the gap is but this didn't work out. I have been to matematics tuition to my maths teacher with rest of my friends again this did not work out. Oh My God! what to do, I was in 9th standard and days fast approaching 10th Standard which is state level common examination. I have been evaluating myself to score max in rest of subjects and get pass marks in mathematics but I was just above average. I tried combined studies with all maths 'toppers' it did improve but only to extent of passing the subject. To my age, relatively those were toughest times of my life, pressure from every where, from parents, hopeless comments from teachers, mockery of my score whilst spending time with 'Classmates'. Thank God - scored just above pass percentage in my 9th standard and was kindly 'promoted' to 10th standard. Unfortunately, all my teachers 'hardly' knew who I was for various factors I was neither a popular student nor a notorious one and so was the relationship with my teachers.
My Mom heard of an ardent engineer who specialised in mathematics with a proven track record. I have joined tution right away, I was not asked how much I scored in 9th standard but was asked to complete a puzzle fortunately completed it but in a
*short time*. Next day I was asked to study first chapter of maths in SSC and there is exam. I topped that 'little exam' purely because the 'kind of importance' I received for solving puzzle the day before. I was asked to *help others who fortunately did not reach my score but seriously I had to do much more homework to help them out and kind of attention I received *being myself* and not in a 'confused game' of being my class topper. It was my first 'Unit Test' of my SSC at school where I scored to my capabilities which was 100%. The *short time* was probably the intial and most important time frame of all the most successful times ahead. All I wanted to elucidate here that some are gifted and some are not but try to win being yourself you never know someday world may come right behind you just becoz of your 'YoU' factor!
